About Me
I grew up doing crafts with my family and in my mother’s craft store. I learned a variety of crafts, but the needle arts are what I enjoy the most. I made crochet, cross-stitch and needlepoint plastic canvas items that I would give to friends and family as gifts, and still have a bunch of finished items stored in my closet waiting for the right person to come along.
I taught my self to crochet when I was 14 and my grandparents gave me an afghan kit. I loved it! Since that first afghan, I branched out into scarves, historical clothes for 11 1/2” fashion dolls, baby clothing and toys, and soon will be making clothing and accessories for adults and kids.
Cross-stitch relaxes me, and that makes it more fun to do. I make various cross-stitch and beaded cross-stitch projects from frameable wall art including mermaids and fairies, wearable fashion accessories such as brooches and earrings, refrigerator magnets to collect, and hangable novelty and many holiday themed ornaments.
Plastic canvas needlepoint can make some amazing things. I have made, but do not currently have for sale, furniture for various rooms and an RV style camper for the 11 1/2” fashion doll. It makes sturdy toys for children, and some of these can make learning fun!
I put my heart and my energy into everything I make because it’s what I love doing.
